Debate is one of the academic activities that give students creative room to express what they feel. The length and breadth of knowledge that they gain through this is simply unparalleled.
The English faculty of SKPPS organized an Inter- House debate competition for classes- IX- XII and it was held on 7th April 2022.
The event was held in the school auditorium (Tagore Hall) and was graced with the presence of Mr. Sunil Sharma (School Principal), staff members and lovely children of class VI- XII as enthusiastic audience to witness this exciting event.
The topics were divided into two categories and they were- ‘Schools should do away with homework altogether.’, ‘Books provide better entertainment than television.’ The competition was adjudged by Mr. Parvinder Singh. The teams were well prepared and undoubtedly convinced the audience of their beliefs and views. The participants armed with statistics and data made their arguments more emphatic with their apt body language and gestures.
They exhibited great oratory skills. In a nutshell’ the competition was an enthralling experience for the speakers as well as the audience.
